CIOGC Social Justice Program Registration

This year, CIOGC is seeking project proposals that address social inequalities impacting the poor and needy. Examples include health, wellness, food, housing, education, career development, wage disparity, violence, etc.

Entries MUST BE APPROVED by masjid leadership.

Attach a video (TikToks/animations are also acceptable) saying:

“CIOGC Service Challenge Accepted!

Thank you CIOGC for helping us address social inequity in the community. With the grant money, we want to ________. We chose this project because _______.

We challenge ________ (Masjid/organization) to accept the challenge!“

Is the population zakat-eligible?

Provide a statement describing the Inequity or Inequality that the proposal concerns and how your proposal will address the identified inequity or inequality. Also describe how the targeted population is impacted by that inequity or inequality.

List and describe the services or assistance that will be provided to the targeted population. For each service or type of assistance, provide an estimate of the number of persons to receive each service or type of assistance and for the time period each recipient is to receive such service or assistance.

Outcomes: Explain how such services or assistance will address, or ameliorate, the identified inequity or inequality and how the targeted population will benefit from these services or assistance.

Budget Narrative: Provide an explanation of how the funding will be used to implement your proposal. In addition, please identify any resource, whether it is additional funding or in-kind contributions, required for the implementation of your proposal.

Competency/Capability Statement: Describe your organizations knowledge, skills, and/or experience that demonstrates your ability to implement your proposal.

Identify the name and contact information of the person responsible for submitting any required interim reporting, such as financial and performance reports.

I grant CIOGC all rights and interests in any and all submissions and interviews including but not limited to videos, photographs, animations, audio recordings, images, and presentations. I also grant CIOGC the right to use said materials in any of their promotional materials.
