1/4/17 – Rising to the Challenge in 2017

By Dr. Bassam Osman, CIOGC Chair

“Great reward comes with great trials. When Allah loves a people, He tests them, and whoever accepts it attains His pleasure.” – The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) [Tirmidhi]

Assalamu Alaykum, Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As 2017 begins, Chicagoland Muslims stand resolute in acting to address our community’s challenges this year and beyond. We turn to Allah (swt) to guide our community as the challenges that lay ahead are certainly many. CIOGC has shown in its nearly 25 years of service that our community’s unity and diversity are our greatest strengths. We will continue to promote engaging and impactful programs to further our mission of serving the greater good.

By the grace of Allah (swt) and your support, CIOGC will continue to lead our community in efforts of civic engagement, interfaith relations, youth leadership, media advocacy, and member relations. We invite you again to join CIOGC in rising to the challenge and in doing so reaffirming our faith and unity as a community.
