Muslim Achievers 2026
We are now accepting nominations for this year’s Muslim Achiever’s Award for CIOGC’s 34th Annual Gala on October 4th, 2026!
Muslim Achievers are people who have excelled in their respective fields and have either achieved great success and/or have been recognized for their excellence.
Nominee qualifications:
- Muslim individuals are recognized as achievers based upon their outstanding success and contribution in the fields of sports, sciences, medicine, engineering, academia, politics, journalism and finance/business among other professions.
- Preference is given to the Chicagoland Achievers.
- The nominee’s achievement is of national prominence.
- Nominees from outside of Chicagoland will be recognized if their achievement is of national prominence.
- Nominees are not accepted from fields that are haram in nature, for example gambling, alcohol, smuggling, Pornography etc.
- The nominee has Fundamental beliefs in Islam.
- The achievements are from the recent past (and is still active) unless it is of national prominence.
Please note:
- The Muslim Achievers Committee of CIOGC evaluates nominees based upon its research and experience. The above criteria are meant as a guideline for making nominations.
- Social and community services are NOT eligible for this award.
