Dr. Mohammad Kaiseruddin has been active in the Chicago Muslim community for the past 40 years. He is currently the Director of the Muslim Community Center (MCC), Chairman of the CIOGC, Vice Chairman of the Downtown Islamic Center (DIC), and regularly gives Friday and Eid sermons throughout the Chicagoland area. Dr. Kaiseruddin holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Kansas State University and is currently a manager with a consulting engineering company. Gihad Ali, Youth Programs Director
Gihad Ali is the Youth Programs Director for CIOGC. She comes to CIOGC with over 12 years of experience working with youth. She began her career as a volunteer in the after-school elementary program run by Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN) and the Arab American Action Network (AAAN). Gihad brought spoken word poetry and hip hop instruction to Silent Echoes, the AAAN’s youth activist formation, juxtaposing creative arts with political education, organizing trainings, and analyses of political, social, and economic conditions that Arab, Black, and Latino youth contend with in Chicagoland.
