Exposing Truth, Fighting Injustice: The Scholarship and Activism of M. Cherif Bassiouni

American Islamic College, in conjunction with other sponsors, including CIOGC, is hosting three dynamic speakers with unique perspectives into Professor Bassiouni as a scholar and an activist, and with thoughtful insights into the legacy of Professor Bassiouni’s work. The speakers will be David Scheffer, Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, Mansa Bilal Mark King, Professor of Sociology, Morehouse College, and Louise Cainkar, Professor of Sociology and Social Justice, Marquette University.

The forum will provide opportunities to directly interact with the speakers and with the audience to build a better understanding of what the work of Professor Bassiouni meant to the Muslim community and to the rights of the oppressed. The forum is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Please join them, Sunday, November 12, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at American Islamic College, 640 W Irving Park Road, Chicago, Illinois.
