Current Update

The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago was personally called by the Mayor's office to tune into the 5pm Press Conference and to share the recommendations they will offer with our community.
To date, we have received a number of opinions from respected Islamic scholars, to follow the advice and counsel of local public health officials.
Already local public officials are recommending restricting large gatherings at houses of worship.
We strongly advise all of our member organizations to follow the directives of our public health officials. And we will be posting all current updates here on this page.
