Page Program

What is a Page Program and Why is it Important?

The Council is securing positions for Muslim high school seniors and some juniors or sophomores to serve as a Page during our April 21 Muslim Action Day. This is an extraordinary opportunity for our youth and will make a most impressive addition to their high school transcripts.

Pages play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the Illinois Senate or House of Representatives. Their duties consist primarily of delivery of correspondence and legislative material. Other duties include taking messages for Members, calling them to the phone, preparing the Chamber for Senate sessions and carrying bills and amendments to the desk.

Those accepted in the Page program will be notified by email on or before April 3, 2020 and must acknowledge that he or she will attend the required orientation and the Muslim Action day on April 21, 2020. Mandatory training program is scheduled for a few days prior. The notice will be emailed to inform you of the time and location for the orientation.

Deadline for 2020 Senate Page Application is March 20, 2020. Please click the button below to apply and please attach your resume and cover letter.
