The CIOGC Task Force is a collaborative effort of Member & Non-Member Organizations; Relief Organizations, Medical Professional Associations, and Social Service Groups to provide services ranging from COVID-19 screening, Non-Emergency Healthcare, Dental care, Mental Health Crisis Support, Direct food and temporary financial assistance, Unemployment Claims, and Spiritual, as well as Mental Well-being, consultations and assessments to families and individuals.

This broad array of experience and knowledge is focused on helping families and the elderly with the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic.  These professionals are donating their time to help.

(847)737-1785 is the gateway to the services offered through the Task Force.  Select the option most related to your concern and you will be transferred to the appropriate team.  The service is available every day from 9:00 AM to 10:00 P.M.

Health Consultation

Not feeling well? Wondering if you have the COVID-1.  Press Option 1 and talk with a medical professional.  A healthcare professional from Advocate Aurora Health will respond, help & guide.  This service is available 24/7.

Food Assistance

If you have lost your job or laid off, food assistance, and emergency monetary assistance is available; press Option 4 for how and where to go to get help.  ICNA Relief & Zakat Foundation are providing Food boxes from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  In addition, Islamic Relief is assisting masajid with funding.  After hours please leave a message, you will receive a call back.

Filing for Unemployment

This is the first time in a long time that you have been out of work.  Do you qualify for unemployment benefits? How do I apply? What information do I need?  Press Option 5, you will reach a service provider to guide you through the process of filing an unemployment claim.  Syrian Community Network is providing services.

Dental Care

“Hey, my dental filling came out, but is it safe to go to the dentist? Are they even seeing patients? It is starting to hurt and I do not know what to do.” Press Option 7 dentist from Chicago Muslim Dental Association will help & guide through the process. This service is available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After hours please leave a message, you will receive a call back.

Mental Health Consults

Cooped up in an apartment for two straight weeks can generate feelings of loneliness and depression. What should you do? Press Option 3 to consult for mental health related support. Doctors from Khalil Center are available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After hours please leave a message, you will receive a call back.
