CIOGC will hold its Annual Muslim-Catholic Iftar in partnership with the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago on Monday, June 12, at Islamic Foundation North. Our relationship with the Archdiocese began over two decades ago, and has only strengthened over time. Designated speakers from the Muslim and Catholic faiths will speak on behalf of their communities, covering the topic, “Obligations to Speak & Reflect the Truth in Society.” The Muslim speaker is Kareem Irfan, a former CIOGC Chair, and current Chair of CIOGC’s Interfaith Committee. The Catholic community speaker will be Dr. Melanie Barrett who is an author, and Chairperson and Assistant Professor in the Department of Moral Theology at University of St. Mary on the Lake. We hope to see you there! This event is for CIOGC members only. Register today!
