Sponsored by Seminary Consortium for Urban Pastoral Education (SCUPE), Parliament of the World’s Religions and Arise Chicago, CIOGC along with other faith-based “neighbors” publicly pledged Solidarity by signing the Solidarity Pledge in front of guests who attended the lecture on Tuesday, April 28. Audience members were then asked to join panelists in also signing the pledge. The pledge addressed the “special” responsibilities religious leaders have to educate their constituencies on embodying “solidarity” by taking action against hate.
