The blood drive is part of a larger effort to collect 1,000 pints of blood for the Global Day of Giving on March 31, with drives scheduled in the United States, Canada, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
There is no substitute for blood, despite modern medical achievements. Every two seconds someone is need of a blood transfusion. If you are able to donate blood, this is a great opportunity to give back to the greater community for “whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved all mankind” (Quran 5:32).
