Each year on Illinois Muslim Action Day (IMAD), CIOGC presents a legislative agenda to lawmakers in Springfield that is relevant to the Muslim community as well as many other faith-based communities. For IMAD 2017, CIOGC is bringing the following issues to the table:

- Defending Religious Freedom in the Workplace (SB1697)
- Expanding Safe Zones for Immigrants (HB0426)
- Ensuring Police Accountability Practices (SB0058)
