Every year during Women’s History Month, Muslim Women’s Alliance (MWA) shines a spotlight on Chicago area women who have contributed significantly in giving back to the community, been a positive role model, and fostered a commitment to helping others. This year, MWA will honor two CIOGC alumni, Ahlam Jbara and Dr. Bambade Shakoor-Abdullah at their Annual Expo on Sunday, March 19. Ahlam Jbara is a social justice warrior at the frontlines of standing up for marginalized communities and is a former Associate Director for CIOGC. Dr. Bambade Shakoor-Abdullah is the Founder and Director of Leadership Development Institute (LDI) and CMECCA School and is currently a member of the CIOGC House of Representatives. CIOGC congratulates Ahlam and Dr. Bambade on their work and accomplishments!
