According to the FBI, hate crimes against Muslims have surged over 67% since 2015, and more hate crimes and violence projected against the Muslim community have occurred in the time leading up to and post-the 2016 election.

We urge the community to take extra precautions and report any incidents of discrimination and hate crimes to the Cook County Sherriff’s hotline773-674-4357. Officials at the Cook County Sheriff’s Office will receive the calls and assist in connecting callers with law enforcement, legal services, or other necessary agencies.
