12/30/15- East-West University First Annual Student Leadership Dinner

On Saturday, November 14, 2015, East-West University held its First Annual Student Leadership Dinner –“A Path to Success” at the Metropolitan Club at the Willis Tower in Chicago. A reception with a silent auction and raffle preceded the dinner. The keynote speaker for the evening was Ms. Carol Bell, Vice-President of B. Coleman Aviation. She also serves as an East-West University Board of Trustees member. Her speech, focused on leadership and success, was well received and drew praise from the audience. A highlight of the evening was honoring the Summer 2015 Dean’s List Students as well as the Student Ambassadors. Dr. Wasiullah Khan, Chancellor of East-West gave the awards. In addition, Dr. Khan recognized East-West’s new men’s basketball team, the Phantoms, and asked Coach Tommie Posley to give a few remarks.

The proceeds from the dinner will support student activities at East-West. Besides its academic mission, East-West University is committed to maximize personal growth and development in its students by providing a variety of activities for involvement. East-West believes students as future leaders must develop their interpersonal and leadership skills. The University offers opportunities to its students to be culturally aware, socially conscious and physically fit. The University designs its activities to assist students to achieve academic and personal success.
