12/16/15- Marna Hass: A Hidden Gem in the Chicago Community

Known as the Cultural Jewelry Designers, Menna and Mariam Khalil, sisters, but also partners, have a unique style when making their accessories. They are young and budding Chicago Muslim artists who had a table display and sold jewelry at CIOGC’s first ever Muslim Youth Expo on October 10, 2015.

The Khalil sisters not only import semi-precious and precious stones and pearls from the Middle East, but their inspiration as well. Their work travels in time, using quotes from famous Arab poets, painters and writers, which they incorporate into their earrings, bracelets and rings. We are jewelry designers and artists who travel to Egypt to make unique Jewelry pieces, which include semiprecious stones, fresh-water naturally-cultured pearls, and metal work that is silver and 21K gold plated,” said Ms. Khalil. “We pride ourselves on putting so much effort into making great quality, timeless, and unique pieces that should be a go-to favorite for any jewelry lover.”
