The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) is the only organization that recognizes the Islamic school valedictorians in Greater Chicago at the Annual CommUnity Dinner. The chosen valedictorians are students with the highest ranking amongst their graduating class. Besides attaining the highest GPA, students also demonstrate excellence in extracurricular activities, such as student council, debate club, science fair and spelling bee. Adding to the excitement this year, the valedictorians will receive their awards from the Cook County Board President, Toni Preckwinkle.
