Council Leadership Meets Bishop Hee-Soo Jung
|

Last Wednesday, Council Chairman Abdul Malik Mujahid, along with members of the
Council’s Interfaith Committee, met with Bishop Hee-Soo Jung of the Northern
Illinois Conference of the Methodist Church at the downtown offices of the
NICMC. The meeting focused on common goals toward achieving social justice, and
on ways the two faith groups can work together for the common good. Rev. Edgar
Hiestand, Rev. Catiana McKay, Rev. Charles Emery, Rev. Chris Pierson, Rev. Oscar
Carrasco, and Dr. Shakir Moiduddin, chair of the Council’s Interfaith Committee,
along with Dr. Hamid Humayun also took part in the discussions
