Dr. Ingrid Mattson speaks at ICN Fundraiser

The Islamic Center of Naperville’s fundraising dinner held at the Double Tree Hotel in Oak Brook was dubbed a huge success. “The ICN met its goal and over $500,000 was raised,” said Aatif Rahman, Chairman of the New Masjid Project. Imran Baig, President of ICN, touched upon the lack of space at the current facility for the 250-300 students and the growing community needs.

Keynote speaker Dr. Ingrid Mattson spoke about the Masjid as the heart of our community. She discussed the circumstances which need to be present in order to bring change to any society, and concluded the evening by urging the involvement of women in community affairs.
