We are proud to congratulate the Downtown Islamic Center (DIC) on its recent move to a new, fully-owned office building at the prestigious 231 S. State location in Chicago. Chairman Kareem Irfan was privileged to lead the inaugural Jumu’ah Salaat at this new location. Focusing his Khutbah on the important Islamic obligation of community service, Br. Kareem appealed to the congregation for active involvement in practical da’wah and ongoing DIC initiatives. He also commended and offered prayers of reward for the selfless efforts of so many Chicago Muslim professionals, including Brs. Mohd. Kaiseruddin (a former CIOGC Chair) & Shanawaz Khan (a former CIOGC Secretary), in realizing this long-cherished dream of an established Masjid in the heart of downtown Chicago.
