Latino Muslims in America

Mosque Foundation, a Council member, hosted a lecture by Rafael Nurbaez entitled, "Latino Muslims and their Roles as Muslim Americans." on February 27. Mr. Nurbaez focused on the growing influence of Latinos  in America and their unique contributions to the diverse Muslim community.

Mr. Narbaez initially began reading the Qur’an as a way of understanding the Bible. However, overtime his reading of the Qur’an helped him better understand the message of the Islamic faith and practices of Muslims, which, in turn, led to his embrace of Islam
