Council Hosts Indonesian Delegation

At the request of the Indonesian Consulate in Chicago, the Council hosted a discussion with a visiting delegation of Indonesian government and business leaders.  Chicago area Muslim community leaders discussed the condition of Muslims in the United States and Indonesia with the delegation.  Both groups shared their experiences, particularly regarding education of Muslim youth and interfaith dialogue.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from the Chairman of the Indonesian delegation and Council Chairman Kareem Irfan to continue this relationship because Muslim communities from different parts of the world need to connect and learn about and from each other.
