On Friday, February 28, the Federal Bureau of Investigation presented Chairman Kareem Irfan with a community service award for his forceful advocacy on behalf of the Chicago-area Muslim community. Thomas Knier, Special-Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office, commented that Mr. Irfan regularly takes the FBI to task for initiatives that negatively impact the Muslim-American community. The Chairman's acceptance speech will soon be available on the Council's website.
