Our Lord and Creator, the Source for all Good,

We gather here today to renew our commitment to the human family.

We, your humble creation, who error but know that with you as our guiding light, we may rise to levels we have only yet imagined.

Our Lord you created us from one father and one mother, Adam and Eve.

We turn to you in repentance for breaking up our human family with self-created racism, nationalism, and sectarianism.

Our Lord, bless us with universal understanding exemplified by all of your prophets.

Uplift us so that we may become one, acting for the good of all and behaving as brothers and sisters.

Our Lord, bestow upon us understanding and love, so that we may see each other's good, and so we may become like mirrors to one another, illuminating both our collective accomplishments and the struggles that still face our nation.

Our Lord, grant us with the understanding of our shortcomings so that we may forge ahead on the path of the Prophets, the path of truth and justice.

Our Lord, help us to see and share the good in every culture and faith and in all people.

Protect us from being blinded by prejudice of color or race, of religion or wealth.

Our Lord, forgive us for our collective sins of hate and prejudice and save us from the darkness of heart that allows it.

We gather in commemoration of one who led our country towards justice and equality,

Our Lord, let that remembrance rekindle our hearts as we face conflict around the world and as we seek to become good neighbors in our world community.
