Muslim Leaders to Encourage Attendance at May 1 Rally, During Friday Prayer Sermons.

Friday, April 27, Chicago – Mosques throughout Chicagoland will be the venue of afternoon sermons encouraging Muslims to attend the May 1 Rally. Mr. Abdul Malik Mujahid, Chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago will be delivering the sermon at the Downtown Islamic Center, located at 231 S. State Street, at 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

It takes many hands and many voices to create and strengthen a foundation. “Muslims will be present on May 1, as members of a coalition of African, Arab, Asian, European and Latino immigrants. Our presence will testify to our commitment to creating a society rooted in justice and pluralism for our Latino neighbors.” said Mujahid.  

When: Friday, April 28, 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
