Zakat Committee Presents at ISNA

The Council's Central Zakat Committee presented a case study of its program during a session called Implementing Zakat in North America. The Central Zakat Committee highlighted program elements, the committee history, various Zakat projects undertaken, a financial update and their vision of the future. Difficulties pertaining to giving Zakat in the American context, as well as Fiqh-related differences in calculating and donating Zakat were also discussed during the session.
