The Council Meets with Representative Jack Franks

The Council’s Director of Outreach, Muneer Aliuddin, and Adam Barbanel-Fried from United Power for Action and Justice, met with Representative Jack Franks, who represents McHenry County in Springfield. Rep. Franks, who was a co-sponsor of the Charity without Fear resolution, which called on the US government to publish list of charities to which Muslims could safely donate. Ms. Aliuddin thanked Rep. Franks on behalf of the Council and the Muslim community for his support of the resolution and discussed ways on how the Council can further work together with him in the future.
