Council Members Attend FBI Citizen’s Academy

The Chicago FBI offices held a 4 week Citizen’s Academy giving an opportunity
for community leaders to understand how the FBI works. The Council’s Director of
Outreach, Muneer Aliuddin, and Executive Member Saleem Shaikh, attended the
Academy, which was designed to introduce community members to the
agents-in-charge, the various offices and departments of the FBI, and their key
functions. The Academy concluded with a visit to the FBI Training Facility and
a graduation ceremony for those who completed the course.
Other community members who attended
included Munir Chaudry from IFANCA and Itedal Shalabi of Arab American Family
Services. Prior Academy attendees include Council Ex-Officio Kareem Irfan and the Council’s
Interfaith Committee Chair, Dr. Shakir Moiduddin.
