Join us for the 3rd Annual Muslim Youth Expo on September 23, 2017 at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois. This year's Youth Expo will include lectures as well as a Career Fair, and Fresh Palettes Competition. Halal food vendors, exhibitors, and merchandisers will be on-site.
The theme of this year's Youth Expo, "The Way of the Best," invokes the spirit of excellence as displayed by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and serves as a focal point for the lectures and discussions to be held throughout the day. Some of Chicago's finest youth leaders and community activists including Abdul-Malik Ryan, DePaul University's Muslim Chaplain and Assistant Director of Religious Diversity, and Esra Rahima of the Muslim Women's Alliance (MWA) will facilitate the speaking portions of the event.
CIOGC is also very excited to bring back "The Fresh Palettes Competition," in which youth will showcase their talents from spoken word, to arts and crafts, and beyond. There will be three prizes handed out for each category. Information regarding the rules and how to enter will be available soon – please keep checking back.
If there is sufficient demand, CIOGC will also provide bus transportation to and from the Youth Expo. A full list of bus schedules and locations would be made available.
Booths are currently available for youth groups, masajid, organizations, businesses, and MSAs for only $50! Please take advantage of this opportunity by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your booth space today.
